Day 29: Simple Still Life
Today, I was lacking inspiration. Like, really lacking inspiration. I meant to take my camera with me when I went out earlier, but I was in a rush making sure everyone was ready and forgot it. That annoyed me since the journey to the destination had some beautiful scenery. I ended up writing a mini article on deviantART about Still Life, so I tried taking some photos of crystals. I didn’t like them.
I then tried a circuit board. I didn’t like them either.
I grabbed some vases, tangerines, a flower and the salt and pepper.
I liked those.
I added a little grain because I wanted them to look pretty vintage, or traditional. The tangerines are my favourite :]

Shady Retirement
Old farm cart found under a tree in the corner of a field. I haven’t done any HDR stuff lately, and this is the kind of subject I like to use the tone-mapping side of the technique. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.
Snow On Sandringham Crescent: Saturday 4 February (365.360° Day 214)
Rob Cartwright Photography | 2011/12 Photoaday Challenge
Though it may not look like it (mainly due to the 90 second exposure used), the snow was coming down like crazy on the green I used to play for hours on as a kid, just down the road from my parent’s house in Norfolk. My camera was soaking (good thing it’s weatherproof!) and – courtesy of a brutal windchill – my hands felt like they were going to drop off, in spite of the fact that I was only out shooting for about 10 minutes!
The snow was truly stunning in this newly fallen, untouched state.
