MARCH 1 – UP

On the bus from DC to NYC

MARCH 2 – FRUIT

At Gray’s Papaya in NYC.

MARCH 3 – YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Unfortunately I was not in Chicago or DC on March 3. This photo was snapped at the MoMA in NYC. An architectural display of my future neighborhood.

MARCH 4 – BEDSIDE

Saved this picture for when I got back to my apartment. My wallside besides by bedside.

MARCH 5 – SMILE

Got the chance to watch Avenue Q in NYC. Avenue Q puppet smiles are simply the best.

 MARCH 6 – 5PM

Got back from NYC at 3PM, and off to meet my friend for coffee to gush about how amazing NYC is.

Photo of the Day: Solace

Clever Creek Photography

We love living in Columbia. It is a city filled with the wisdom of people who have lived here for generations combined with the youth and optimism of the many students who attend college or university here. Energy fills the air.  Recently, I was downtown scouting locations for an upcoming photo session.  The fading sun painted the sky in such a beautiful  and peaceful way, I had to capture it in these images.

The diversity found in this city where places of learning and worship are plentiful make Columbia interesting and colorful, in addition to the gorgeous sunsets.

Forever

Nae's Nest

Forever does not last very long

Forever is misleading

Forever has an ending

Birth is the true beginning

Forever is death

Forever stops

With my last breath

It is true

Forever, I will love you

I will love you beyond

Forever

When my life surrenders

I will love you

After my last breath

I will love you after death

 When my spirit rises

And my soul sings

When I earn my wings

Beyond forever

Infinity

I endeavor

Day 253: Rugged Peaks in HDR

Karl Lindsay Nature Photography

Here is another shot looking to the left of the ridge I was descending. The peaks surrounding Mt Kenya’s summit are rather rugged! This is an 3 shot, handheld HDR. I aligned the images in Photoshop then processed them in Photomatix and cropped accordingly.

My book, On Safari in Kenya, is available from the Blurb online bookstore with photos from my safaris on the Maasai Mara. You can also find me on Facebook or see more shots from Kenya and Africa with these links.
