Day 165 – The Floyd Country Store – in black and white. With a little bit of post processing, I tried to evoke an earlier time (well, forget about the brand new pick up for a moment). The Country Store, the Barber Shop – this is Americana at its best. This 100-year-old county store has it all, including a stage at the back of the store for live performances. While we visited, an old gentleman was picking on his guitar, singing about life, another younger woman was pealing some locally grown potatoes for the soup of the day, and regular folks were milling about checking out the goods. Check out the link above and see what’s happening today.
