My interpretation of creativity, for purposes of this blog, is having fun with photography, haiku, “photomanipulations” or whatever else comes to mind. When it comes to photomanipulating, I enjoy experimenting with digital art effects, like in the image above. I used Photoshop Elements to create a watercolor effect on the original photo. The scene is our hotel room on the Greek island of Mykonos during our honeymoon.

About this photo: This elaborate castle was created by several people working together on Long Beach Island. It represents fun and youthful exuberance, as well as perhaps the impermanence of it all.

It was when we were on the third floor, looking up at a hole in the ceiling, that I thought to ask if the building were structurally sound.
Our host, a young architect from Berlin, assured us that it was. We moved up to the top floor to inspect the rooftop shower. It was basic, a duckboard to stand on, a hosepipe, a screen so as not to frighten the horses, and a view across London.
