Multiple exposure portraits

Stephen Duffy

A while back I posted some Multiple exposure pictures that I made using photos I had already taken and edited using Adobe Photoshop. None of those photos were made “in camera” and I spent a little while trying to figure out how to do it, and I couldn’t find any tutorials telling me how. After a little while of experimenting I discovered how.

I created these using the “image overlay” function on my Nikon D3100, which is an entry level but very capable DSLR camera. I changed the tones, cleaned up some areas and did some B+W processing in Photoshop CS5. I’ll be making more of these soon and put them all into a collected post.

As usual, any criticism (constructive hopefully) is welcome.
