Sitting in my car during a wet lunch hour, I was playing around with the G11 – pointing it every which way – because there’s no telling what this versatile camera will come up with next. Suddenly, glancing into my wing mirror, I saw the reflection of a man walking behind the car. I had time for just a single frame of the wing mirror, covered in raindrops and containing the man’s reflection.
It was quite a gloomy day – this is August, supposedly high summer! – and the whole figure of the man was very dark, almost a silhouette in fact. I’ve exaggerated this effect in SEP2, making him even darker and everything else lighter – and so here he is, a dark, anonymous figure in a wet English car park, during a wet English “summer’s”…
