Turner’s Sky

Turner’s painting is wide open, the sky is ever-present. At times he takes us into the sky, perhaps it has already always been enveloping the totality. Color with Turner becomes an interior experience. Color objectives the tenor of the enveloping space. Color in Turner’s work is more present than objects.

Color is emerging and it is emergence. Eye and spirit are unison. This then is an homage to Turner’s sky, would he have painted it blue.
